Under the current requirements of environmental protection, safety, and sustainable development, utilizing abundant mineral resources for industrial agglomeration development has become an inevitable trend. Today, Powder Technology Network will share with you the six important quartz (siliceous raw material) industrial clusters in China and see how they have developed?
China has abundant quartz resources, with quartzite deposits mainly distributed in Qinghai, Liaoning, Shaanxi and other areas; Quartz ore rocks are mostly distributed in Sichuan, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shandong provinces; Quartz sandstone is mainly distributed in the coastal areas of southern Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, northwest Hainan, and northern Shandong, as well as in the eastern part of the Xiliao River, the middle reaches of the Yellow River, and the banks of Panyang Lake and Luoma Lake; Vein quartz mines are scattered in metamorphic rock areas in Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Hubei and other places.
From the perspective of quartz production, Heyuan in Guangdong, Xinyi in Jiangsu, Donghai in Jiangsu, Fengyang in Anhui, Luoyang in Henan, and Lingshou in Hebei are the main production areas of quartz raw materials, accounting for 80% of the national quartz market. The quartz sand in southern China is mainly supplied by Heyuan in Guangdong, 70% of the glass raw materials in eastern China are supplied by Fengyang in Anhui, and 80% of the high-end quartz raw materials in the country are supplied by Donghai in Jiangsu.
