Overview of Enterprise Scale for the Development of Silicon Micropowder

From the perspective of the scale of industrial enterprises, although China is rich in quartz and has a wide distribution of mineral resources, and there are nearly 100 large and small 

silicon micro powder plants nationwide, they are basically Township and Village Enterprises.

Due to the small scale and single variety of production enterprises, which use conventional processing equipment from non mining industries and lack systematic control measures 

in the process, the purity, particle size, and product quality stability of silicon powder products are poor, making it unable to compete with imported products.

At present, the main products produced in China are ordinary angular crystalline silicon powder and angular molten silicon powder. The high-end silicon powder products represented 

by spherical silicon powder, ultrafine silicon powder, and molten silicon powder are still mainly produced by developed country enterprises such as Japan and the United States.

At present, Japan is the main foreign country that can produce high-purity spherical silicon powder materials. Currently, Japan mainly produces spherical silicon powder by companies 

such as Tatsumori, Denka, and Micro, and is a major exporter of spherical silicon powder.
