The texture and use of square quartz powder

   1. Excellent optical properties. The refractive index of square quartz drops from 1.55 to 1.48, closer to the refractive index of PE, PP, and some resins. The mixed resin appears bright and does not paint its own color, while adding other fillers can make the color of the pigment lighter and distorted.

   2. High reflectivity. The Octahedron structure of cristobalite helps to reflect light and can replace the reflective paint of glass beads, which can not only enhance the skid resistance, but also improve the reflective property of the paint.

   3. High whiteness, low density, glossy and shiny. The whiteness of cristobalite reaches 95%, and it can be used in coatings and paints to replace departmental titanium dioxide powder. It can reduce the required whiteness of formulations and can be used as a filler for automotive primers and various coatings and paints.

   4. Anti corrosion, resistant to characterization, and resistant to scrubbing.

   5. No organic matter purification, extremely low metal content. It can enhance the UV resistance of coatings and has excellent insulation properties, making it suitable for packaging and supplementation of electronic products.

  6. Excellent thermal shock resistance. When square quartz is heated at temperatures ranging from 220 to 240 ℃, it undergoes a certain level of thermal expansion, which precisely compensates for the expansion caused by epoxy resin, gypsum, and other curing reactions at this temperature, ensuring stable casting. This feature is particularly suitable for the use of epoxy castables, potting adhesives, and precision forging.
