1. A mature standard system has not yet been established

Silicon micropowder belongs to a specialized sub industry of non-metallic mineral processing industry. Due to the lack of established technical standards and unified product standards, 

the product quality and standards of various enterprises are uneven, which to some extent restricts the rapid development of the industry and further improvement of technical level.

2. Outstanding contradictions in product structure

Due to limitations in technology and research and development capabilities, most domestic silicon powder production enterprises are squeezed into the low-end product market with

 lower gross profit.

Although the domestic silicon powder industry has seen rapid growth in production capacity and technological level in recent years, its competitiveness in the international market is still 

weak. Enterprises from developed countries such as Japan have monopolized the high value-added silicon powder product market by leveraging their technological and research and 

development advantages.

At the same time, there are some small enterprises with low technology level and low capital investment in the industry, which impact the silicon powder market with low cost brought by 

low quality and low environmental protection investment, and squeeze the Lebensraum of other silicon powder manufacturers through price competition, leading to disorderly market competition.

3. There is still a certain gap in research and development technology compared to foreign countries

The production equipment of most domestic silicon powder manufacturers is relatively simple, the quality management system and application testing system are relatively weak, 

and there is still a gap between the technical content of products and the quality stability of high-end products and the Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation level.

With the development of the silicon powder industry and the expansion and extension of downstream industries, the profit margin of low value-added products will continue to shrink. 

Domestic enterprises must seek technological breakthroughs to break the monopoly of foreign enterprises in the high-end product market.
