Micro silicon powder, also known as silicon micro powder, also known as silica fume, silicon powder, or silica ultrafine powder.

Micro silicon powder is a type of ultrafine silicon powder material formed by the rapid oxidation and condensation of SiO2 and Si gas generated by metallurgical 

electric furnaces at high temperatures above 2000 ℃ with oxygen in the air.

1. Micro silicon powder:

The appearance is gray or gray white powder, with a fire resistance of>1600 ℃. Unit weight: 200-250 kilograms/cubic meter.

2. Fineness of micro silicon powder:

Fineness less than 1 in micro silicon powder μ M accounts for over 80%, with an average particle size of 0.1-0.3 μ m. The specific surface area is 20-28m2/g. Its fineness and specific 

surface area are about 80-100 times that of cement and 50-70 times that of fly ash.

During the formation process of micro silicon powder, due to the effect of surface tension during the phase transition, amorphous spherical particles are formed, with a relatively 

smooth surface. Some are aggregates of multiple spherical particles stuck together. It is a Volcanic ash material with large specific surface area and high activity. Materials mixed with

 micro silicon powder, with small spherical bodies, can provide lubrication.
